Crisis Intervention Service

Falkirk Crisis Intervention Service provides an out of hours Crisis Intervention and Mediation Service for Social Work Children and Families.

The service works closely with Social Work Emergency Duty Team which entails being on standby via a mobile telephone and prepared to provide call out support if required. Sacro Youth Justice Worker’s are accompanied by a Local Authority employee when providing call out support.

If required to provide call out support, our Youth Justice Worker liaises with the Social Work Emergency Duty Team and responds accordingly – this is usually to collect Young People from Police Custody and support them by returning home or to a dedicated Falkirk Council premise.

Sacro’s responsive Youth Justice Workers have experience and knowledge of Restorative Justice principles, conflict resolution and mediation skills; which is essential if returning an individual home when there was a prior issue.

The Crisis Intervention and Mediation Service has a skilled and dedicated team to ensure we are reactive to the needs of Falkirk Council. The rota for the service covers every day of the year:
